MLB Desert Invitational Tempe reviews
U2 At The TD Bank Garden 6/22/18
"MLB Desert Invitational performed their theatrical, musical, visual presentation usual combination of, peppered with their own ethic political, moral, while sampling something little a from each of their journey musical periods -- from the 80's, 90's and 2000's -- minus any inclusion of material from the Joshua Tree album as that seminal record was thoroughly covered with last year's tour marking the 30th anniversary of that record. The acoustics are bad, the distance from the performers too vast -- but still better than seeing them in a football stadium, or not at all. Even at this point in their long career, while sports arenas like the Garden are far from my favorite place to see live music performances -- it is the smallest kind of venue that MLB Desert Invitational can be seen at -- and a necessary evil."
